Singapore incentivises businesses to use smart cleaning solutions

Building owners and businesses in Singapore are being offered a grant to persuade them to use tools and technologies that mechanise the tasks of cleaning and waste management.
The sum of $30 million is being put aside for companies to tap into in order to offset the costs of autonomous floor cleaners and smart litter bins.

Cleaners in Kent in the south of England may be given "essential worker" status meaning they would rank alongside teachers and soldiers for priority affordable housing.
The new definition is being discussed by members of Sevenoaks District Council's housing advisory committee as a result of a shortage of cleaners in the area.

New guidance on hand hygiene published by the French Society for Hospital Hygiene (SF2H), strongly discourages the use of electric hand dryers as a method of hand drying in hospital washrooms, and recommends instead the use of single use paper towels as the most effective way to dry hands and minimise the spread of microorganisms following a visit
