Virucidal activity of L(+)-lactic acid from Jungbunzlauer proved

The virucidal activity of L(+)-lactic acid from Jungbunzlauer against enveloped viruses has been investigated under the European standard test method EN 14476. During those tests it was found to have virucidal activity against all enveloped viruses, including coronavirus.
Jungbunzlauer L(+)-lactic acid is a natural and sustainable ingredient in the formulation of surface disinfectants and antimicrobial hand soaps. It is derived from renewable raw materials via fermentation and is readily biodegradable.
