Vectair has been playing its part in fighting climate change
23rd of September 2021Climate change is an increasingly important topic in the minds of world leaders as we prepare for the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in November 2021. It is imperative we now start to take climate change seriously, as according to experts, the worst impacts could be irreversible by 2030. The 20 warmest years on record have been in the last 22 years.
Vectair Systems has been acting to help combat global warming for a while now. Their intention as an innovator is to develop new technology to revolutionise the hygiene industry and to provide the best possible solutions whilst being as environmentally-friendly as possible.
The V-Air SOLID Evolution air freshener is one example. It is completely free of any solvents, propellants, HFCs and contains no batteries - all it needs to work is natural airflow.
Supporting carbon neutral projects
Vectair Systems has been supporting climate change projects around the world, helping to offset the carbon emissions from V-Air SOLID Evolution's life cycle by making a cash contribution towards projects in various regions. These projects are all recognized to international standards, including the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), Gold Standard Voluntary Emission Reductions (VER) and Certified Emission Reductions (CER).
The projects include tree planting in the UK and Brazil, the Breathing Space programme to improve cooking stoves in India, the Native Energy clean water programme in Central America, and a wind-based power generation project in India.
