ECFI hosts platform to discuss the future of cleaning in the post-Covid Europe

EFCI, the Brussels-based organisation representing the professional cleaning sector across Europe, hosted a week of seminars online recently with presentations from 25 speakers. The themes of the discussions were the state of the sector post-Covid, the challenges ahead, its role in Europe's recovery, the new world of work, the 'greening' of cleaning services and the key innovation trends.
The event was attended by over 200 ?representatives from the European institutions, EFCI's stakeholders and experts from the sector. Its president Juan Diez de los Rios described it as "a unique meeting point for our industry experts and leaders to exchange on the most pressing topics for the sector with a European perspective".
Isabel Yglesias, EFCI's director general added: "EFCI's Online Week has become a reflection point for the industry. Joining EU institutions' representatives with experts from the sector, it has given the EFCI and its members food for thought for the present and future challenges of the sector."
Among the presentations was the launch of the EFCI's 2021 annual report, The Industrial Cleaning Sector in Europe 2021 - Covid-19 Impact Analysis. For more news on that, read the upcoming edition of ECJ.
