Union supports striking cleaners

15th of April 2010

The global trade union UNI has pledged its support for the Dutch cleaners who staged industrial action across the country last month. The cleaners, all members of the FNV Bondgenoten union, are campaigning for a wage increase, travel expenses, training opportunities, reduced work pressure and to be treated with respect.

Sites affected include Utrecht Central Station and 250 other stations across the country, as well as Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam.
