It's almost showtime!

Rob den Hertog, project manager for the ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam, invites visitors from all over the world to come to the exhibition.

After two years of preparation, it's almost showtime! Celebrating our 25th anniversary, it makes me very proud to look back and think of how Interclean since 1967 has grown to become an important international event with all leading manufacturers present and over 5,000 global distributors visiting, earning reputation as the place to be for networking, knowledge exchange and product innovation.

Over the years, the show has been the launch pad for innovations worldwide and numerous new products. This year's Amsterdam Innovation Award entries confirmed once again the importance and high standard for innovation in our industry. As innovation thrives in our industry, each edition we too try to implement new aspects to the show, reflecting trends and industry developments. I will take you through some of our new elements for this edition.

To further enhance innovation, a new concept is being introduced in a prominent location; the new Innovation Lab situated in the Elicium hosts presentations and provides detailed information on topnotch innovations and their development process.

Continuing the previously successfully introduced Washroom and High Pressure areas, our Silver Jubilee edition adds a dedicated Steam Cleaning and Management & Mobility Solutions areas to the show floor. These areas make a visit to our 50,000 square metre show floor more efficient because companies in specific sectors can be found together.

Special walk-in mini seminars or workshops can be attended in the Washroom and Steam Showfloor Theatre - HTS BIO, Exel Dryer, Ecolab, Genwec, OspreyFrank, SCA Hygiene Products and Airdri will present innovative solutions on hand sanitation and steam treatments.

Also new is an Outdoor Demo Show with a variety of activities and demonstrations for outdoor cleaning. It promises some spectacular entertainment on the front square, including a original Dakar rally cleaning station by Kärcher, city cleaning machines, gum removal products and car wash solutions. More demonstration can be seen at the High Pressure demonstration area and the Miniskills competition where students and professionals from Netherlands, Hungary, Estonia and are competing in several specialised cleaning challenges.

As knowledge is key, we continue to present the valuable educational ISSA seminar programme covering topical issues and led by top experts and scientists, such as changing the conversation from cost to profit, why hygiene is important in the washroom, balancing sustainability goals, biocidal products regulation and a women's forum. Additionally for the first time in Amsterdam, all national cleaning associations are invited to join the Global Association Meeting, welcoming over 35 associations.

We can't wait to share everything we worked for in the past two year and hope that it will all come together as we would like and once again improve to surprise you - but most importantly we hope you enjoy ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam 2014!
