Churchill wins large scale Metropolitan Police contract

UK-based facilities services provider Churchillhas won a wide-ranging three-year contract with the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS). The contract has the option to extend for another two + two years and will see the company's cleaning operatives deployed across 351 buildings in all 32 of London's Boroughs.
The contract has more than 350 staff, including management and a dedicated helpdesk that will oversee the cleaning operation in and out of hours, seven days a week.
The MPS, the largest police force in the UK, wanted to make a change in its approach to cleaning and Churchill was successful in the tender process for a number of reasons. Its local presence and commitment to the communities it works in is essential in a city where each borough is so distinct from the next.
Its technology platforms were another key reason for the contract win. Technology is a core pillar of PRISM, Churchill's workplace hygiene programme.
Environments for the cleaning teams include but are not limited to HQ, offices, custody suites, kennels, and stables. Specialist and reactive cleaning teams will also be deployed when necessary to areas such as forensic tents and operational vehicles.
