Cleaning & Support Services Association relaunches in UK

28th of January 2016

The UK contract cleaning organisation CSSA (the Cleaning & Support Services Association) is officially relaunching on February 1 after a two-year hiatus - offering 'founding member' status for companies joining before that date.

Director John Findlater said: "Becoming a re-launched CSSA ‘founding member' will resonate in the sector and let everyone know - suppliers and clients - that we're back as an independent, industry specific organisation."

The CSSA was part of a merger with fellow organisations Asset Skills and the Facilities Management Association (FMA) in 2013 - when the Building Futures Group (BFG) was formed. However CSSA members at that time resolved to end the merger process at the end of 2014 and the association has been inactive since then. The BFG recently announced its closure.

Former members and directors met in London at the end of last year and decided to make the CSSA full operational again, saying the contract cleaning sector needs specialised representation.
